MultimediaThe Multimedia portion of this project involves a Powerpoint-based computer aided instruction and a brief instructional video. Both these projects fill gaps in knowledge that the audience has forgetten due to the amount of time that has passed since they have needed to know it.
Due to the intense nature of some of the material covered, it may be impossible for a CAI to completely meet the needs of all learners. An instructor, even if at a distance, would be extremely helpful - especially when it comes to giving feedback on the materials that learners produce. Download the CAI
The scope of the topic is simply too broad to cover in the 1-2 minute limitations of this assignment, so this video would best be used as an introduction to a learning module or one part of a series of videos on the topic.

The CAI focuses on the various documents that are necessary when networking or applying for a position. Due to the large amount of non-sequential material to be covered, as well as the fact that not all the information will be of interest to everyone, a CAI seemed the most logical choice for delivery. Users are able to determine pace and sequence, as well as what topics to view or skip.
The video offers some very basic tips on succeeding on a job interview.
To make the video memorable, I used both humor and a mnemonic device. The humor aspect comes in the form of a character who is blowing his interview in a bad way (I felt the instructional material was more important, so the "director's cut" has an extended version of this exchange). The interviewing tips offered are brief and to the point, giving the learner a general overview of how to prepare for a job interview.
